Hi, my name is Lindy and I’ve worked closely with Alison for nearly four years now. I have spent most of my adult life in the fitness industry, teaching a wide range of classes, including ‘going for the burn with Jane Fonda’ back in the early days, step, aqua, gym circuits, aerobics, you name it, I’ve more than likely taught it! Over the last four years, I have concentrated on teaching Pilates and more recently Myofascial release, both of which I think are absolutely brilliant and every one should do them! Currently I teach a variety of Pilates based classes within the local area. I also do private ‘one to ones’, including referrals from Alison, and smaller group sessions.

In 2011, I qualified with Modern Pilates as a Level 3 Matwork instructor, specialising in pre and post natal, hip and lower limb, spine, shoulder and pelvic floor dysfunction. Modern Pilates were excellent and very thorough, really giving me the detailed knowledge and ‘hands on’ experience that I think is essential for anyone who wants to teach Matwork pilates.

Since qualifying I have continued my professional development by attending various work shops and lectures, sometimes with Alison so she can help me out with the more complex areas and big words!

My main claim to fame is that for my fiftieth birthday I ran the Paris marathon and was pain free, thanks to Pilates!
